Anglo American plc (“Anglo American”) is pleased to announce that, at its next Annual General Meeting on 20 April 2005, it will propose the appointment of René Médori as an Executive Director of Anglo American, effective 1 June 2005. René will take over as Finance Director from Tony Lea on 1 September 2005, following a three month handover phase.
